Tall Glass a Success!!!

Hi everyone! so it seems Google is giving me a choice between color font or posting video. I'm going with video.
Today was an all out battle of the wits with my computer and camera. My husband Jack came to the rescue 6 hours after he began troubleshooting. Have you ever noticed that your brain will work on a problem and then the answer just seems to drop down into your mind as soon as you "give up"?!!?... it was only after he left the house, completely fed up and frustrated, on his way to work, that he called me and said, "try this." And I did. And it worked! Life can continue!
The picture above is from last night's event. Filmmaker E.S. Frushtick, filmmaker Billy Burbank, your truly and my bff Stacy Auer.
Below is my vlog about my screening event last night!! Yay! Tall Glass Short Film was a big success. Thanks to all the filmmakers involved!

Circle of Lies!

Hi!
I hope everyone had a good, productive, creative Thursday!
I spent the day with two of my favorite actresses, Namakula and Prudence, at Evergreen Cemetery in Brooklyn. We froze our tooshies off, but another scene for Kate & Kula is in the can!
Take a peek at my vlog for the day -- I address a common form of resistance: The Circle.

Distraction no more!

Today was a huge success!
I stood up for myself, asking for higher compensation at my videography job, and I was well received! It was a tough talk, that I mentally prepared for by not sleeping all night, but well worth the sacrifice!
Special thanks to my husband and my dad and a few special girlfriends for all their support! My champions!

Now, back to what's important: Acting Work!

Accomplishments today:

*Submitted to SAG Web-Series,
Haute & Bothered at Sig Miguel's office.
*Got an audition (Friday) for world premiere production of
Edward Scissorhands.
*Attended UCB practice session.
*Had an inspiring conversation with actor friend, Michael Horowitz.
AWESOME!

Resistance Today:
Mostly my thoughts:
"Why are you risking your livelihood?" "who do you think you are?" "I don't feel like going out of my way to drop off this headshot -- I'm not going to get called in anyway." "I'm too tired to blog!"

Yay today! Resistance was fully overcome.
Tomorrow it starts again!

2/16/10 I'm Worth Every Penny

Hi everyone!

Welcome to the Daily Dance with Resistance, my new blog/vlog that will
chronicle my re-commitment to my acting career.

I'll talk about what it means to be an artist, especially in today's economy,
and all the challenges I face finding work as an actor.

A special shout out to my girl, Colette,
who is fighting the good fight across the pond in London.

More soon... In the meantime, check out my first vlog (below) where I discuss
my intention for the blog and also my current employment situation.
